We believe fashion should be as kind to the planet as the planet is to you. At Daez, sustainability isn't a trend - it’s the foundation of everything we do.

Sustainability one Daez at a time

The fashion industry is one of the leading contributors to environmental destruction, responsible for a staggering 10% of global carbon emissions and over 20% of wastewater production. Fast fashion, in particular, promotes a cycle of overconsumption, with clothes designed for short-term use and quick disposal. This unsustainable model not only drains resources but also perpetuates exploitative labour practices, often in regions with minimal protections. The environmental toll is horrifying - it takes roughly 2,700 litres of water to produce a single cotton t-shirt, and millions of tons of textiles end up in landfills each year. If we continue on this path, scientists warn that we may have less than 30 years to reverse these trends before the planet faces irreversible climate damage. At Daez, we are committed to challenging this destructive norm, proving that style and sustainability are not mutually exclusive through conscious design, multifunctional pieces, and ethical production practices. But it’s up to all of us to make the change before it’s too late.

At Daez, we are committed to doing our part by prioritising sustainability in every aspect of our design and production process, ensuring that our fashion not only looks good but also supports the health of our planet.

  • Our Fabrics
    Thoughtfully Chosen, Technically Designed

At Daez, we believe that the foundation of sustainable fashion starts with the fabrics we use. That’s why we source only the highest quality materials that meet both ethical and performance standards:

    • GOTS-certified organic cotton for a soft, breathable feel, grown without harmful chemicals and pesticides.

    • OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 approved dyes and finishes, ensuring that every fabric is free from harmful substances and safe for both you and the environment.

    • ECONYL® regenerated nylon, made from recycled ocean waste and landfill plastics, transforming discarded materials into high-quality, durable fabric.

    • Recycled poly blends, combining sustainability with long-lasting performance and a luxurious softness that withstands wear over time.

    • Reducing fabric waste by repurposing leftover materials in our packaging, ensuring that no part of the fabric goes to waste and further minimising our environmental impact.

In contrast to the fast fashion industry, which churns out low-quality, disposable textiles that contribute massively to environmental harm, we focus on creating pieces that are made to last, with a conscious effort to reduce waste and pollution at every step.

Each of our fabrics is designed with multi-functionality and durability in mind, helping to reduce overconsumption and extend the life of your wardrobe.

  • Ethical Manufacturing
Made in the UK with Integrity

In the fast fashion industry, an alarming 75% of clothing is produced in factories where workers often face unsafe conditions, long hours, and unfair wages. This exploitation not only affects workers but also contributes to the environmental damage caused by rapid, large-scale production. At Daez, we’re committed to doing things differently — and it’s key that we take action now to set a new standard for both people and the planet.

We partner exclusively with local, transparent factories across the UK that uphold strict standards for fair wages and safe working conditions, ensuring the well-being of everyone involved in our production process. By supporting small-batch production, we reduce waste and avoid the overproduction that contributes to the unsustainable nature of fast fashion.

Choosing UK manufacturers also helps lower our Scope 3 emissions, as we significantly reduce the carbon footprint associated with long-distance shipping and transportation. This commitment not only supports local economies but also ensures our practices align with our values of sustainability and ethical responsibility.

At Daez, we create clothing built to last, designed for longevity, and intended to stay out of landfills. Our goal is to challenge the throwaway culture and foster a more conscious, ethical approach to fashion.

  • Multifunctional = Less Waste
Why Own 5 Outfits When You Can Wear 1, 5 Ways?

In today’s world, the rise of the "one wear" mentality - where clothing is worn once and discarded - is rapidly contributing to the environmental crisis. It encourages overconsumption and waste, fueling the cycle of disposable fashion. At Daez, we believe in a different approach, where sustainability isn’t just about producing less, but producing smarter. Our multifunctional pieces are designed to be styled in multiple ways, allowing you to get more use out of every item in your wardrobe. This not only reduces the need to constantly purchase new clothes but also lowers the environmental toll of excessive production and disposal.

While sustainable brands often come with a higher price tag due to the cost of premium fabrics and ethical manufacturing processes, our multifunctional designs make the price point of Daez more accessible. When you invest in one piece that can be styled in multiple ways, you're essentially getting several outfits in one, providing long-term value and reducing the frequency of purchases. Not only are you saving money, but you're also making a positive impact on the planet. This approach is what sets us apart from fast fashion - it’s not about buying more, but about owning less and making each piece work harder for you, all while contributing to a more sustainable future.

  • Low-Impact Packaging
    Beautiful, Recyclable, and Reused

At Daez, we believe that sustainability extends beyond our clothing, which is why we've carefully designed our packaging to have a minimal environmental impact. The fashion industry is responsible for approximately 10% of global plastic pollution, and packaging plays a large role in this. That's why we ship all our products in recyclable packaging provided by The Tiny Box Company, who share our commitment to sustainability.

Our packaging is plastic-free, FSC-certified, and made from recycled materials, ensuring it’s both eco-friendly and durable. We’ve minimized branding on the packaging to encourage reuse — so your packaging can serve a second life instead of heading straight to the landfill. We also make use of sustainable materials in every detail, from thankyou cards made from wood to swing tags crafted from plantable paper - no plastic in sight. This approach reduces waste, fosters reuse, and ensures that every part of our packaging aligns with our values of sustainability and respect for the planet.

At Daez, we’re dedicated to making a positive impact, not just through our clothing, but through every part of the experience, down to the very last detail of our packaging.

  • Future Goals
    We're Just Getting Started

At Daez, we’re passionate about creating a better future for both fashion and the planet, but we know there's always more to be done. That’s why we’re setting ambitious goals to continue pushing the boundaries of sustainability in everything we do.

In the near future, we’re partnering with ACS Clothing to introduce take-back schemes and rental services, making it easier for customers to return or rent our pieces rather than buy new ones. This initiative will help extend the life of our garments, further reducing waste and promoting a circular economy.

We’re also excited to be exploring circular design, where we’ll focus on creating products that can be fully recycled or repurposed, minimising their environmental impact at the end of their lifecycle. Alongside this, we plan to offer repair services to encourage garment longevity and keep our pieces in circulation longer, rather than contributing to the growing landfill crisis.

It's worth noting that 80% of a garment's environmental impact comes from its care and use, highlighting how crucial it is to promote aftercare for sustainable brands. By providing guidance on proper maintenance, we help customers reduce the need for replacements and contribute to a longer lifespan for their pieces.

Finally, we are on track to become as close to carbon neutral as we can. We’re committed to reducing our emissions across all areas of our operations, from sourcing materials to manufacturing and shipping, to ensure that we’re doing our part in the fight against climate change.

At Daez, we’re just getting started - and with every step we take, we’re working towards a more sustainable, ethical, and environmentally conscious future for fashion.
